| THE IMPORTANCE OF HORIZONTAL FAMILY IN EDUCATION |
The family plays a role in the education of their member. It is considered the main educational institution and also the best place to educate the sociability of individuals since it is the first environment where members of the same are developed at different levels: social, emotional, physical, and intellectual.
The family occupies an essential place in education; it is where the first steps of teaching and learning are taken, on which the personal and social life of its members will be built. The family must prepare its members from birth so that they can actively participate in society. And for it, it must destine time, stability, values, affection, love, economic resources, etc. It is considered as the first socializing agent, understanding by socializing function the development in each individual of those abilities and activities that constitute the essential requirements for their future development in life.
The participation of parents in their children's education is fundamental for their children's school success. Cooperation, collaboration, and communication between the parents and the education center are likely to contribute to the student's success in school. Parents and the school are considered the main links in the educational process of school children. But the problem lies in the fact that not all children have parents who are involved in the process and it is well known that not all learning is the exclusive result of the teacher's action, but that social and family factors have an influence.
CRITICAL THINKING
In my personal opinion I believe that the education of a child or adolescent is based more on the values they receive at home, parents should give them a good example for their children to be good individuals who know how to function in society, parents should do 70% of the work in the education of their children and teachers only 30% because students develop effectively if they feel supported both at school and at home. If children perceive an interest in identifying their doubts and ideas at home, they are more inclined to learn and are more willing to participate in classes and extracurricular activities. In short, if the family and the school form a team, the child will be doubly benefited, forming a self-confident young person who is prepared to get involved in his or her community. Undoubtedly, the importance of the family in education in these aspects is transcendental: it is one of the necessary parts to form emotionally healthy adults who are prepared to face their futures.
